High Protein & Nutrient Dense Blue Superfood Smoothie

Updated: Apr 10

The Throat Chakra, or Vishuddha, is located at the base of the throat. It's the energy center that governs our communication, self-expression, and the ability to speak our truth.

When this chakra is balanced, we can express ourselves clearly, confidently, and authentically. We can listen deeply, communicate effectively, and live in alignment with our values.

However, when imbalanced, the symptoms manifest in various ways:

  • Physical Symptoms: Sore throat, laryngitis, thyroid issues, neck and shoulder pain.

  • Emotional/Mental Symptoms:

    • Difficulty expressing thoughts and feelings.

    • Fear of speaking up or sharing your truth.

    • Communication issues, such as being overly talkative or unable to listen.

    • Feeling unheard or misunderstood.

    • Dishonesty or a tendency to withhold information.

    • Lack of confidence in self-expression.

Rebalancing the Throat Chakra

There are many ways that we can work towards bringing the Throat Chakra back into balance:

  • Speaking Your Truth: Practicing honest and authentic communication, even when it's challenging.

  • Active Listening: Paying attention to others and truly hearing what they have to say.

  • Creative Expression: Engaging in activities like singing, chanting, writing, or any form of art that allows you to express yourself.

  • Sound Therapy: Using vocal toning or chanting to vibrate and open the throat center.

  • Color Therapy: Working with the color blue, which is associated with the Throat Chakra.

  • Affirmations: Using positive affirmations to support clear communication and self-expression.

Days 5 & 6: Blue Hues and Nourishment

During Days 5 and 6 of our cleanse, we'll be focusing on connecting with our Throat Chakra through the power of the color blue and mindful eating.

  • Wearing Blue: Surround yourself with the color blue. Wear blue clothing, accessories, or visualize the color blue throughout the day.

  • Eating Blue Foods: While naturally blue foods can be less common, we encourage you to incorporate them where you can.

Enjoying Blue Spirulina

Since finding a wide variety of blue foods can be tricky, we want to highlight a fantastic addition to your diet during these days: Blue Spirulina.

Blue Spirulina (or Phycocyanin) is a natural blue pigment derived from spirulina. It's not only vibrant in color but also packed with benefits:

  • Rich in Nutrients: It's a source of protein, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

  • Anti-inflammatory Properties: It can help reduce inflammation in the body.

  • Immune Support: It may help boost the immune system.
