  • Juicing: This involves drinking only fresh fruit and vegetable juices for a period of time. If you don't have a juicer, infused tea and water is also an option.

  • Detox diets: These diets typically involve eating a variety of healthy, whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, herbs and lean protein. It can also include cycling through different foods over a period of time.

  • Movement: Mindful movement, whether stretching or a walk, is a great way to cleanse your body and mind and support. It also supports our body's system processes related to flushing, detoxing and digesting.

  • Reflective practice: Prioritizing time to reflect allows you to flush out thoughts and emotions, gain clarity, connect spiritually and to reduce stress. Examples include journaling, prayer and meditation.

  • Duration: A cleanse can last from a day to several weeks. Short 1-3 day cleanses may reduce bloating and improve energy. Medium 5-7 day cleanses can support detoxification and improve digestion. Longer cleanses aim for significant changes but need careful consideration and guidance.
